Shore Acres is a fun place to visit where wild waves and rock formations can be seen near Coos Bay, Oregon. I've visited in the past, and had always wanted to re-visit. So I took my 4x5 on the annual family vacation.

As I've been doing lately, I scanned the 4x5 negative on my flatbed then manipulated it into the final image for the Internet. I've found this is better than making a contact of the sheet of film, in that I can see what a final print might look like. Also, I can experiment with croppings, though most of my croppings in the camera end up being the final cropping. I can also clean up dust and black spots, something that's difficult to do with the original negative or on the final silver gelatin print.
