This is one of four prints created for a landscape show at Twisp's Confluence Gallery this fall. The theme was man's influence on the landscape. I don't normally give myself assignments, but this seemed like a natural challenge since I like landscapes and I'm always looking for new ways to show them.

Falls Creek Falls is a great place for photos, changing it's texture all the time as light filters through tree tops into a deep gorge. The walk to the falls off the Chewuch River Road is short, maybe 100 yards. There is a handicap access trail, too, that is paved.

I can't find my notebook with exposure information, but when I do I will be sure to post it. I was with the family for a quick visit following a softball game. Yes, even when you are over 50 you can still have fun swatting a softball.

Hardest part in photographing here was getting my son to hide behind a tree during exposures.
